Resolution & proof

rsolve resolves matched bets from public evidence — not DMs or creator discretion. When a bet's resolve time passes, the platform researches live sources, posts an outcome (YES, NO, or VOID), stores citations on the bet, and pays winners automatically.

Before you post

Every claim is checked at creation. rsolve uses Perplexity Sonar with live web search to confirm the bet is a clear YES/NO claim with a real, publicly verifiable outcome and a concrete resolve time. Unverifiable or vague claims are rejected before they hit the feed.

• The claim must be binary — strangers could settle it YES or NO from public facts.
• There must be a measurable outcome (price, score, launch date, official result, etc.).
• Independent public sources must exist (exchanges, box scores, regulators, official announcements, platform metrics).
• The resolve deadline is researched from the web when you post — typically with 1–3 cited links saved on the bet as claim sources.

When resolution runs

Resolution starts after the bet's resolve time (expires_at). A background sweep picks up expired matched bets, marks them RESOLVING, and runs the resolver. Calendar-day outcomes use the platform resolution timezone (default: Europe/London) — for date-based claims, resolution runs at 00:15 London time on the morning after the event date.

How we decide

At resolve time, rsolve calls Perplexity Sonar Pro with live web grounding. The model acts as an impartial adjudicator: it reads current public evidence, weighs primary and tier-1 sources over blogs, and returns a structured verdict.

• Outcome: YES, NO, or VOID (only if the result is genuinely undeterminable or the event did not occur as specified).
• Confidence: a score from 0 to 1 reflecting how strongly the evidence supports the verdict.
• Summary: a short explanation of why that outcome was chosen.
• Citations: independent public URLs returned from the search — title, link, and source domain — stored on the bet and shown under Evidence.

Sources

Citations come from Perplexity's live search results at resolve time — official sites, news wires, exchanges, league stats, and other independent public pages. Each URL is deduplicated and listed on the bet detail page. You can optionally name a preferred resolution source when creating a bet; the resolver still cross-checks broader public evidence.

Settlement & payout

Once a valid outcome is returned, rsolve settles immediately: ledger entries credit winners (or refund both sides on VOID), fees are applied, and treasury payouts are sent on-chain when configured. There is no manual step — escrow releases as part of settlement.

Proof record

Every resolved bet gets a proof bundle: claim, outcome, confidence, summary, citations, and resolve timestamp. rsolve hashes this bundle and stores it on the resolution record. When an audit wallet is configured, that hash can be anchored on Solana as a memo transaction so anyone can verify the record independently.
